An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Associate Surveyor to join a highly respected property consultancy with an outstanding reputation for delivering expert valuation and advisory services across the commercial property sector.
Working within an established and expanding valuation team, you’ll be involved in a diverse range of commercial valuation instructions across office, industrial, retail, residential and specialist property sectors. This is a client-facing role offering genuine responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to work with an impressive portfolio of clients while supporting the continued growth of a successful team.
This role would suit an experienced Chartered Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career, combining technical excellence with business development and leadership responsibilities.
Role and Responsibilities of the Associate Surveyor – Valuation:
- Undertaking commercial property valuations for secured lending, acquisitions, disposals, investment, financial reporting and insurance purposes
- Preparing detailed valuation reports, feasibility studies and professional advice
- Delivering valuation instructions in accordance with RICS Valuation Standards
- Reviewing reports and providing technical guidance to colleagues
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple service lines
- Contributing to the continued growth and success of the valuation department
Skills & Experience of the Associate Surveyor – Valuation:
- MRICS qualified
- Proven experience undertaking commercial property valuations within a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of RICS Valuation Standards and current valuation legislation
- Excellent technical report writing skills
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop junior surveyors
- Highly organised with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Full UK driving licence
