An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Building Surveyor to join a specialist construction and property consultancy in Winchester with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects. They are looking to expand their services and bring a Building Surveyor into the business, offering excellent scope for progression.
This is a project-biased role, ideal for a Building Surveyor who enjoys working closely with clients, consultants and contractors to deliver refurbishment, extension and new-build schemes, predominately with education clients.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:
- Delivering building surveying and project management services
- Leading refurbishment, extension and improvement works from inception through to completion
- Preparing specifications of work, schedules, feasibility studies and cost advice
- Contract administration under JCT forms
- Managing consultants, contractors and stakeholder relationships
- Attending site meetings and overseeing works on site
- Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard
Skills & Experience of the Senior Building Surveyor:
- Degree-qualified in Building Surveying or similar
- MRICS qualified is beneficial but not essential
- Strong experience delivering construction projects, ideally within the education sector
- Good working knowledge of JCT contracts and contract administration
- Confident, client-facing communicator
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Salary & Benefits:
- £55,000 – £70,000 base salary (dependent on experience)
