An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Building Surveyor to join a highly respected, specialist building surveying practice working across the commercial property sector. This is an ideal role for someone looking to develop their career, gain high-quality experience, and progress toward chartership with full APC support.
You’ll join an experienced and friendly team delivering a wide range of project and professional services, working closely with senior surveyors while taking on increasing responsibility as you progress.
Role & Responsibilities of the Assistant Building Surveyor:
- Assist with building surveys, defect analysis and technical due diligence
- Support in preparing specifications and schedules of work
- Assist with contract administration and project delivery
- Contribute to dilapidations, reinstatement cost assessments and schedules of condition
- Prepare reports and support senior colleagues on client instructions
- Develop strong client relationships and ensure a high standard of service
Skills & Experience of the Assistant Building Surveyor:
- A degree in Building Surveying or related discipline
- 1–3 years’ professional experience
- Strong technical knowledge and willingness to learn
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Good understanding of building pathology and construction
- Ambition to become MRICS – full APC support provided
- Full UK driving licence
