A leading independent consultancy is looking for a talented Senior Project Manager to join their team in Southampton. This role offers excellent exposure to varied and technically challenging projects across a range of sectors, with schemes ranging in value from £100k up to £10m
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager:
- Lead and manage project delivery from feasibility to completion
- Oversee design coordination, procurement, contracts, and consultant teams.
- Provide commercial oversight: budget setting, cost control, and value engineering.
- Ensure project compliance with regulations, RICS standards, and best practices.
- Build strong relationships with clients, manage stakeholder engagement, and deliver a high standard of service.
- Mentor and support junior project managers / surveyors.
Skills & Experience of the Senior Project Manager:
- Significant experience in project management (in a consultancy environment)
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, contract forms, and technical project delivery
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects and leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication, organisation, and team leadership skills
- Professional qualification (MRICS, MCIOB, APM, or similar) desirable
