Senior Asset Manager

We’re pleased to be working exclusively in partnership with Eastleigh Borough Council to recruit a Senior Asset Manager to join their property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take a leading role in the management and development of a diverse £200 million+ commercial property portfolio.

Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Asset Manager:

  • Support the Lead Asset Manager in delivering strategic objectives for the Council’s property portfolio.
  • Oversee all aspects of property management, including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, and negotiations for high-value commercial properties.
  • Lead on the acquisition and disposal of properties, ensuring best value for the Council.
  • Identify and assess potential investment opportunities to enhance the Council’s commercial property portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health & safety and procurement processes.
  • Assist in managing property records and financial budgeting, including rent and service charge reconciliations.
  • Provide mentoring support and guidance to junior team members.

Skills & Experience of the Senior Asset Manager:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Estate Management or a related discipline.
  • MRICS qualified ideally, candidates close to sitting their APC assessment will be considered
  • At least five years of proven experience in asset management.
  • A strong understanding of property services, investments, and compliance.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience working with senior stakeholders.
  • A full UK driving licence.
