We’re pleased to be working exclusively in partnership with Eastleigh Borough Council to recruit a Senior Asset Manager to join their property team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take a leading role in the management and development of a diverse £200 million+ commercial property portfolio.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Asset Manager:
- Support the Lead Asset Manager in delivering strategic objectives for the Council’s property portfolio.
- Oversee all aspects of property management, including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, and negotiations for high-value commercial properties.
- Lead on the acquisition and disposal of properties, ensuring best value for the Council.
- Identify and assess potential investment opportunities to enhance the Council’s commercial property portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including health & safety and procurement processes.
- Assist in managing property records and financial budgeting, including rent and service charge reconciliations.
- Provide mentoring support and guidance to junior team members.
Skills & Experience of the Senior Asset Manager:
The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Estate Management or a related discipline.
- MRICS qualified ideally, candidates close to sitting their APC assessment will be considered
- At least five years of proven experience in asset management.
- A strong understanding of property services, investments, and compliance.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with experience working with senior stakeholders.
- A full UK driving licence.
