We’re pleased to be working exclusively in partnership with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council to recruit a Senior Asset Management Surveyor to join their Investment Portfolio Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced property professional to take on a varied and hands-on estate management role, playing a key part in delivering the Council’s Strategic Asset Management Plan, Annual Property Plan, and wider regeneration projects.
Role & Responsibilities of the Senior Asset Management Surveyor:
- Day-to-day estate management across a diverse £288.9M commercial property portfolio, generating £19.3M annual rental income
- Negotiating lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, surrenders, dilapidations and all other landlord & tenant matters
- Managing multi-let properties including service charges, budgeting, income monitoring and oversight of letting agents
- Supporting project groups linked to portfolio management and representing the Property Team on key initiatives
- Building strong relationships with tenants, agents, and internal teams to deliver excellent estate management outcomes
Skills & Experience of the Senior Asset Management Surveyor:
- RICS qualified with experience in a commercial property environment
- Strong working knowledge of commercial leases and landlord & tenant law
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
What’s on Offer?
- £55,572 to £59,971
- Annual leave – 28.5 days plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time)
