A growing and highly regarded consultancy is looking for a Head of Project Management to work with the directors, leading their project management team. You’ll be responsible for delivering schemes, along with taking managerial responsibility for the team. This is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially aware project manager with a strong residential background to work closely with developer clients, leading projects from inception to completion.
Role & Responsibilities of the Head of Project Management:
- Lead the project management team, undertaking monthly team meetings, managing compliance, recruitment and growth of the team
- Assist with business development
- Deliver residential schemes (circa 70–80% of workload), including new build houses and flats
- Manage a variety of commercial projects, including office, PBSA, retail and hospitality
- Lead projects from feasibility through to handover
- Act as Employer’s Agent under JCT Design & Build contracts
- Work closely with clients, consultants and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes
- Advise on procurement strategy and manage contract risks
Skills and experience of the Head of Project Management:
- Minimum 10 years’ project management experience within consultancy or client-side
- Managerial experience leading project management teams
- Strong track record delivering residential projects between £1m – £30m
- JCT contract knowledge and Employer’s Agent experience essential
- Ideally MCIOB or MRICS (not essential)
- Excellent stakeholder management and contract admin skills
- Ability to advise developer clients on procurement options
