An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join a well-established and highly regarded built environment consultancy, based out of their Winchester office.
This role offers a genuinely varied workload across multiple sectors including Defence & Security, Education, Healthcare, Heritage, Public Buildings and Residential/ Regeneration. You’ll be part of a busy, experienced project management team delivering complex and high-profile schemes from inception through to completion.
This position is suited to a Project Manager who is confident taking ownership of projects, managing stakeholders, and driving delivery while working within a supportive, multidisciplinary consultancy environment.
Role & Responsibilities of the Project Manager:
- Managing projects through all RIBA stages, from feasibility to handover
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders
- Leading and coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams
- Preparing and managing project documentation, programmes and reports
- Chairing and recording client and project meetings
- Monitoring contractor progress on site and reporting on delivery
- Supporting feasibility studies, site appraisals and early-stage project advice
- Supporting business development and repeat client work
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
Skills & Experience of the Project Manager:
- Proven experience working as a Project Manager within construction or the built environment
- Consultancy or client-side experience preferred
- Understanding of JCT and/or NEC contracts
- Experience managing multiple projects across different sectors
- Degree in a construction-related subject desirable but not essential
- Working towards or holding a professional qualification (RICS, CIOB, APM) advantageous
- Strong communication, reporting and presentation skills
- Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Salary & Benefits:
- £40,000 – £50,000 (depending on experience)
