An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join a long-established and growing construction consultancy based in Brighton.
The business have a long history of delivering award-winning surveying services across the South East, working on a wide range of projects across commercial, education, heritage and public sector schemes . Due to continued growth, they are now looking to strengthen their Quantity Surveying team with the appointment of a commercially focused Associate Quantity Surveyor.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on greater responsibility, manage client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
Role & Responsibilities of the Associate Quantity Surveyor:
- Delivering cost management and quantity surveying services across the full project lifecycle
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and tender documentation
- Managing procurement and contract administration (JCT)
- Monitoring project costs, valuations, variations and final accounts
- Acting as lead consultant, Employer’s Agent or Contract Administrator where required
- Managing client relationships and contributing to business development
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Assisting with workload planning and team management
- Producing fee proposals and supporting new work opportunities
Skills & Experience of the Associate Quantity Surveyor:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- MRICS qualified or member of another relevant professional body
- Strong pre and post-contract experience
- Experience delivering projects independently within a consultancy environment
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ambitious and keen to contribute to business growth
