An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a progressive and growing property consultancy in a key leadership position, driving the continued growth and success of their Building Surveying team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead and develop an established Building Surveying division, managing a diverse range of professional and project work while mentoring a growing team and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the business.
This is an ideal opportunity for an Associate Director, Senior Building Surveyor or Team Leader looking to take on greater responsibility and play a key role in shaping the future of a successful consultancy.
Role and Responsibilities of the Associate Director / Head of Building Surveying:
- Leading and developing the Building Surveying team
- Managing and growing key client relationships
- Delivering a range of professional Building Surveying services
- Overseeing project delivery across commercial and residential sectors
- Managing dilapidations, technical due diligence, schedules of condition and planned maintenance instructions
- Providing strategic advice to clients on property and construction matters
- Supporting business development and identifying new revenue opportunities
- Mentoring and developing junior surveyors
- Working closely with the senior leadership team to support business growth
- Maintaining high technical and professional standards across the department
Skills & Experience:
- MRICS qualified Building Surveyor
- Significant experience within Building Surveying consultancy
- Previous leadership or team management experience
- Strong technical knowledge across professional and project-based Building Surveying services
- Commercially aware with business development capabilities
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing multiple projects and service lines
- Ambitious and motivated to help drive the growth of a dynamic consultancy
