An excellent new opportunity has come available for an assistant level quantity surveyor, or quantity surveyor to join a rapidly growing PQS firm in Salisbury. As part of ongoing growth their looking for someone who can join their experienced team working on projects across various sectors including high end residential and heritage. They can provide full support towards APC, with a record track record of successfully supporting surveyors to become chartered.
Role & Responsibilities of the Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:
- Assist in preparing cost plans and estimates
- Preparation of tender documents, tender analysis and contract administration
- Ensuring that post-contract cost variances and change control processes are managed effectively
- Production of monthly post-contract cost reports and presenting them to the client.
- Pre and post contract work
Skills & Experience of the Assistant or Intermediate Quantity Surveyor:
- A degree in quantity surveying/cost management or equivalent is essential
- 1 years plus practical experience
- PQS side experience is desired but not essential
- Excellent communication skills
