- Residential Building Surveyor – Southampton & Portsmouth
- up to £50,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Residential Building Surveyor to join a growing independent surveying practice, covering a defined territory across the Southampton and Portsmouth areas.
The role will primarily involve undertaking RICS Level 2 and Level 3 Home Surveys. You’ll be supported by an established office team who manage bookings, access arrangements, client communication and report proofreading, allowing you to focus on carrying out high-quality inspections and producing comprehensive reports.
The company focus on quality over quantity and work on 1 survey a day.
Role & Responsibilities of the Residential Surveyor:
- Undertaking RICS Level 2 Home Surveys
- Undertaking detailed RICS Level 3 Building Surveys
- Carrying out residential property inspections across the Southampton and Portsmouth areas
- Producing accurate, detailed and high-quality survey reports
- Identifying building defects and providing clear, practical advice to clients
- Managing your own surveying workload within a structured diary
- Delivering a high standard of customer service throughout the surveying process
Skills & Experience:
- AssocRICS or MRICS preferred, or currently working towards membership
- Experience undertaking RICS Level 2 and/or Level 3 surveys
- Strong knowledge of residential construction, defects and building pathology
- Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicating with clients and colleagues
- Able to manage workload effectively and work independently
- Full UK driving licence
