We’re working with a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong pipeline of work across the South East, who are looking to appoint an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their Surrey team.
This is a senior, client-facing role for an experienced consultancy QS who’s confident leading projects, managing clients and taking responsibility for delivery. You’ll be working across a diverse portfolio of schemes including residential, education, healthcare and commercial developments, typically ranging from £5m–£100m.
The role offers genuine influence within the business. You’ll lead cost management commissions from pre- to post-contract, oversee and mentor junior surveyors and APC candidates, and play a key part in developing long-term client relationships and repeat work. For the right individual, there’s a clearly defined pathway to Director level.
Role & responsibilities of the Senior / Associate Quantity Surveyor:
- Leading cost management services across multiple projects
- Acting as the main commercial contact for key clients
- Managing and mentoring junior surveyors
- Producing cost plans, tenders, reports and contract documentation
- Attending site meetings, client meetings and presentations
- Ensuring high standards across all commercial processes
Skills & experience of the Senior / Associate Quantity Surveyor:
- Strong consultancy background within the UK market
- MRICS qualified
- Proven ability to manage workloads, commission teams, and deliver projects independently
- Confident leader with excellent client-facing skills
- Strong knowledge of both pre- and post-contract delivery
