An exciting opportunity for a Senior Building Surveyor to join an international construction consultancy based in their Surrey office. Working as part of an experienced team you will be responsible for managing a range of projects varying in value from £50K to £2M.
Roles and Responsibilities of the Senior Building Surveyor:
- Preparing drawings using AutoCAD, doing elevations and floorplans
- Writing and preparing specification and project briefs
- Managing contract tendering and contract administration
- Supervising of development and design of the project
- Providing day to day assistance to the project team
- Handling all instructions and to maintain comprehensive records for all work undertaken
- Identifying building defects
- Writing technical reports
- Preparing budgets and contracts
- Complying with the companies health and safety standards
Skills and Experience of the Senior Building Surveyor:
- 3-5 years of building surveying experience in a consultancy or client environment
- Proficiency in using AutoCAD
- Expertise in managing projects independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication and organisation skills
- Experience managing public/private sector projects
- Experience in construction or consultancy industry
- Technical knowledge and competency in building surveying
- Good negotiation, presentation and report writing skills
- Strong IT skills
