Excellent opportunity for a Project Team Leader to join the University of Southampton, currently one of the world’s top 100 universities. Working as part of their property team you will be responsible for managing planned maintenance and refurbishment projects across their estate. You will manage the development, planning and implementation of construction projects and will be involved in the delivery of these at any stage in their lifecycle from inception through to close-out. You will have responsibility for a small team of Project Managers underneath.
Role & Responsibilities of the Projects Team Leader:
- Project management of refurbishment and maintenance schemes
- Writing project briefs, consultant specifications
- Appointment of external consultants and contractors
- Supervision of external consultants and internal project managers
- Cost control and financial management of projects
Skills & Experience of the Projects Team Leader:
- Ideally professional qualified with MRICS or MCIOB
- Significant experience of managing construction and refurbishment projects
- Building surveying background is preferred
- Experience of briefing, appointing and managing external consultants and contractors
- Management experience is preferred
Salary & Benefits:
- £50,000 – £57,296 base salary
- 35 hour a week contract
