Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

A well established construction and property consultancy is currently in search of a Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team.  From its roots in traditional Quantity Surveying, the Practice has evolved its offerings to respond to the ever changing property and construction market. Their core activities now include the provision of Project Management, Employer’s Agent and Client’s Representative services, Joint Venture Supervisor, Cost Consultancy & Quantity Surveying services, Building Surveying and Clerk of Works services. From their office in Woking, they advise on the design, construction, repair, maintenance and refurbishment of all types of property, working across all the key sectors of the industry, offering a fully comprehensive service throughout the complete life cycle of a project from inception to post-completion.

Role & Responsibilities of the Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor:

  • Pre and post contract work
  • Advise on costs involved in building projects
  • Evaluation of costs and advise on alternatives
  • Evaluation of tenders
  • Prepare bills of quantities
  • Prepare final accounts

Skills & Experience of the Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor: 

  • Graduate with a degree in Quantity Surveying
  • The ambition to become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor
  • Accurate numeracy skills and a methodical approach to working
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
