We’re working with a multi-disciplinary consultancy in Southampton that is looking for an apprentice to join their experienced team. Working in their professional services team, you will have the opportunity to work towards either the Level 6 RICS Chartered Surveyor Apprenticeship (4-5 years) or the Level 3 surveying technician. This apprenticeship is offered via the University College of Estate Management (UCEM). Within 5 years of leaving school, you will have the opportunity to be a chartered surveyor.
Role & Responsibilities of the Apprentice Surveyor:
- Assist with various general practice surveying duties, with a bias towards agency
- Assist with sales and lettings of commercial property
- Inspecting properties and providing marketing recommendations and valuation advice to clients
- Conducting property viewings and managing follow-ups
- Assist with property management duties
Skills & experience of the Apprentice Surveyor:
- Minimum requirement for surveying technician is typically five GCSEs at Grade C or higher including Maths and English
- Minimum requirement or Chartered Surveyor apprenticeship will typically be A Levels (96 UCAS tariff points) or an Extended Level 3 BTEC in Construction or property related discipline.
- Keen interest in property
- Good communication skills
- Strong IT skills
